    Depends on the software. Norton ghost for example has the device drivers for most common burners built in. WHat do you mean by boot type burning? I e never heard this before but i can only guess...l.

    Probably refering to bootable CD-ROMs... and yes, every burner can do it; you just need the right software.

    I am trying to burn a bootable DVD but I cant from a msd file. I am trying to use dvd decrypter but I dont see a tab for the matashi drive

    You can make a bootable DVD using Nero.

    Can't you just make a direct copy in Nero?
