My question is on your W3V's front LCD bezel, (the plastic greyish silver piece that surrounds your display), does it sit flush in ALL areas (no gap between the plastic piece with the LCD)?
Mine is not flush in one spot which is in the microphone hole area.
Can you guys please check? Thanks. :asus:
EDIT: Here are pictures of what exactly I am talking about.

I don't have a gap. If your being technical, I have maybe less then a milimeter of a black outline around the screen on the LCD, is that what you mean? or is there a actual physical gap.

o yea ur right!! you have to look at it from the side, or from the very top down. There is like a little concave gap maybe 3/4 of a inch total right in front of the Microphone hole.
Im guessing it's for the Microphone chip/receptor thing.
It's funny I never noticeed it before, but now everytime I look at my start menu or task bar I see it. -
Yep, i've got it, too. I also never noticed it before -- and now that I know it's there, my eye is drawn inexorably toward it........ Damn you, jkrd!!!

I have the exact same thing on mine. I thought it was a minor manufacturing defect in mine. Funny that others have the exact same thing in the same location. Doesn't bother me though.
-
it's a feature, not a bug.....

I too have this slight bend outwards at the microphone input area there.. the next would be the right battery bamboo doesn't slot in securely. these are the only 2 physical defects that i have..

/me /too /!!!

Yep, looking at your pix, that's exactly what I've got. Like I said, I never even noticed it until you pointed it out. I can press on the bulge and it goes in, so I figure it just pokes out over the mic. But it doesn't seem like anything to worry about -- it's nothing that's going to cause any catastrophic problems or anything. Certainly doesn't bother me at all. -
yup, i noticed this aswell, although it doesn't bother me.
if you look straight at the screen and not from the top it's hardly noticable. -
wow; i just noticied it on mine as well.
-
Was this a manufacturer flaw or did it warp due to heat or usage? Also, is the unit closing/opening just fine with it?
-
Now that a lot of you have noticed this issue, does it bother you or is it hardly noticeable?
-
Its very minor
