After upgrading the RAM in my W3V I am highly interested in upgrading its hard drive to a 100 GB 5400 RPM. I have a couple questions:

    1) Can anyone give a brief how-to on removing and installing a new hard drive for the W3V. I'd like to do it right and not mess anything up.

    2) Is there a recommended brand I go with? I was considering on ordering a Seagate Momentus 5400 RPM 100 GB 2.5" drive. That should work fine right?

My ultimate goal would be to have a 100 GB HD in my notebook so I can rip CD images onto the drive and not having to worry about swapping out the optical bay so much.

From there I'd like to get a notebook sized hard drive enclosure and take the old 60 GB hard drive stick it in there and be able to plug it in to the USB port of my desktop/notebook.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Check out this great assembly guide, and goto page 10 for hard drive installation instructions. Its very very easy :)

I'm running a 60gig Seagate momentus 5400, its amazing, if I had the cash I would of gotten the 100 though, so you should be alright.
