    Hi

    Can anybody help me?

I did a clean install of windows but cannot get the wireless mouse to work. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can get the drivers from. The drivers on the Logitech site dont seem to work.

    Thank you

    Jay

I would try the mouse in your desktop and see if it works there. If not, the mouse might be bad.

Shouldn't be a driver issue AT ALL..... if it's usb..... you just have to make sure that mouse is sync'd to the usb dongle or whatever reciever you have...... thats it.... nothing more, nothing less.

    Thanks,

Is there really a special driver on their site? Well that's different.......

Anyway... the mouse itself should work out of the box just like any other usb mouse would........ all you have to do is make the connection with the reciever which is simple enough. All that the extra drivers do are allow for special funtions... like what you said... battery life... or other things. However, they aren't NEEDED.

Did you get it to work?

    Thanks,
    Justin

I believe it'll tell you the batteries on the mouse are dying..... I don't use that mouse so I am not 100% sure.. but it's a logical guess.

    try the following:

Boot your pc without the receiver plugged in
When windows boots completly, insert the receiver
Wait and you should see "new hardware found"
Then, if mouse don't function, press the button on the receiver and then press the button on the mouse itself.

    Hope it helps. Good luck

    Thanks for the advice.

The batterys should work because they are brand new. Downloaded the driver from the Logitech website and still no luck.

Tried the boot without the mouse dongle installed in the USB. Windows does say New hardware found but still no luck.

First experience of a wireless mouse, not a good one. Bring back wires [ :(]

I thought I had to unscrew the mouse to put in the batteries, but turns out all you had to do was remove the top cover...I couldn't put back the mouse as perfectly and it got messed up.

Oh well, my MX500 is still better than that POS.

there's usually a button on the reciever or mouse to rest the frequency, etc. The other thing too is put in a fresh new pair of batteries you know work. I sold my old notebook labtec mouse because it was SOOOO sensitive to battery voltage. It should have had 3 AAA batteries in series because when the voltage dropped below 2.2v, it would behave eratically and/or not work.

Yes I pressed those connect buttons.

Looks like its time to shell out a few quid on some new batteries.

Can anybody recommend any smaller wireless mice that they have had a good experience with?

    Cheers
