I *need*[8D] to upgrade my w3v to 2 Gb, but asked Asus (spain) of "compatible" modules list, they gave me just this

    256Mb DDR2-400
    Infinion HYS64T32000GDL-5-A
    Micron MT8HTF3264HG-40E
    512Mb DDR2-400
    Infinion HYS64T64020GDL-5-A
    Micron MT8HTF6464H

Any one of you have upgraded with 1+1 Gb?
    Brand?
    (please especify DDR2-400 or 533)...

    Thanks in advance.

Corsair's DDR2 533 sticks certainly work.... Micron shouldn't be a problem for sure either.

thx, but in corsair configurator page (http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/configurator_search.html) after selecting notebook -> asus, no memory for w3v is recommended... (?).
In kingston they recommend (http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator/modelsinfo.asp?SysID=22333&mfr=ASUS&model=W3000V+%28W3%2FW3V%29+Series+Notebook&Sys=22333-ASUS-W3000V+%28W3%2FW3V%29+Series+Notebook&distributor=0&submit1=Search ) a lot of modules, but I'd need to know if anybody have tested any... just to make my next buy a success...
I've had too much emotions with Asus recently ;)

Corsair can say there is nothing recommended, but I don't think you asked corsair.....[ ;)]

We've tested and used it in our W3's for almost 3 months now. Corsair can't suggest a product until they have the unit to try it in. I'm telling you that it not only works, but performs as good if not better than anything else.

Plenty of people in this forum use the exact same ram in their W3's... you can ask them what they think.

    Thanks,
    Justin
