I've been a very content owner of a W3V for a few months now. However, I just noticed that on the palm rest--literally, where my palm usually rests when I'm using the touch pad--there is a noticeable smudge. That is, a darkened patch that is clearly a different shade than the rest of the palm rest. I removed the stickers when I first got my laptop, by the way.

Has anyone else experienced this annoyance? I can't seem to clean it off, so it appears the finish on that particular spot has simply come off. Sheesh....I guess my palms are sweatier than I thought!

Yep, I am experiencing the same with my w3v after 3 months of use. Noticable dark circles where my palms rest. Not extremely noticable, but noticable nonetheless.

Oh well, I guess it can't look brand new forever. :(

It probably would have been better if Asus went with dark grey for this area as I think some of the early pictures showed.

You guys have the chrome paint chipping off your power buttons, too?
