Hello...
I have instealled CHC and been experimenting with undervolting and so on. Still not getting any battery level of 4+ hours as some are reporting. Can you tell me what you are using for voltage levels and if there are other settings to adjust.
I have tried to turn off wifi, bluetooth, and turn down the screen brightness. Also, I am not running Power4Gear anymore, since I am using CHC...
Thanks for the advice,
Ramy

The 4 hours + is under light load - nothing that loads the CPU or graphics.
1. Make sure that Speedstep is enabled in the BIOS.
2. Download MobileMeter from http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Oakland/8259/release/0310/mm0310.zip and use this to display your power consumption when running on battery. You should be looking for around 15W under light load. MM will also show the operating frequency. Under light load this should be 800MHz.
3. I'm running my P-M 1.86 GHz at 0.7V for 800MHz and 1.084V for 1.86GHz. It seems that most of the modern P-Ms will run at 0.7V at minimum speed but you have to determine the safe minimum voltage for maximum speed by trial.
Hope this helps,

You should also set the graphics card to clock down when running on battery. Find the tab labeled POWERPLAY, turn it on, and set it to max battery life when on battery. That should definitely boost your battery life some.
