Hello,
I've gotten the W3V for about a month, I'm using wireless connection for my internet and everynow and then I exprience dropouts, its not just normal dropouts where I just have to reconnect, my wireless rounter stops functioning eg no more wireless signal, other computers connected to the router also cannot access the net whether they are wired or wireless. I have to pull out the power from the router and plug it in for it to work again.
Recently I found out what's been causing this, everytime I try to use wireless on the W3V with DC power (battery), the net works for a few minutes then the problem occurs again, no more signals from router, nothing connected to router works. After pulling out power from router and plugging in again it works for another few minutes then stops again.
Im using a DLink router and I've tried the same thing at my friend's house, the same problem occurs when i use wireless with battery. However when I plug in AC power everything works perfect.
I need help, I have the latest Intel ProSet drivers. Not able to use wireless with a portable battery really makes the laptop not very portable.
Thanks

not sure if this will help, but it may have something to do with the power management of the intel wireless card.
by default it is set to auto-adjust according to your remaining battery power. i found that my connection speed would drop and fluctuate (but never disconnect). what i did was untick the default option and have the slider set to maximum performance.
