Greetings all, your thoughts, if you please.

Z63a is right at 2 years old, bought from proportable. Starting a couple months ago, the battery would always be "charging" (orange light), regardless of if the third party battery monitor software I have running thought the batt was at 100%. A couple weeks ago, I put the laptop into sleep mode to take it to the girlfriend's house. When I pulled it out of the case a few hours later it was completely flat. Last weekend, the battery stopped getting any charge whatsoever. The orange light stayed on whenever the AC was plugged in, but the batt monitor software never reported the battery as above 0% charge and it would shut off with removal of external power.

Today, it stopped doing even that. I had it up, was watching the trailer for the new WoW expansion, and boom, black screen, zero power, no orange light.

Should I be able to use the laptop without the battery plugged in? I get nothing from the power button, regardless of battery or no. Little green LED on charger brick is still on, no change.

I'm just about to order a battery off of ebay, but there are no Z63a batteries. Can I use a W3V battery?

Is it just my battery that's six feet under or is the whole lappy taking a dirt nap?

Thanks for your time and expertise!
