Just got my W3V yesterday. It's beautiful. I havn't had much time with it yet but noticed that the right side of the battery does not sit completely flush with the frame. Not a big deal, but a little annoying. Anybody else notice this?

    J,

Yeah I'd have to agree with you on that. Never noticed it before you just mentioned it, but it's like a fingernail thickness.... but thanks for pointing it out, now I'll notice it ALL the time [ :)]

    Thanks,
    Justin

Well if all you guys have it, that's not very encouraging. Once you do know It's there...how bad is it really?...are these all North American W3V's so far...or is it a global flaw? [8D]

holy cow..... it's like a 1/32" ..... like I said you can feel it, but it's not something you can even really see. The battery fits into a slot which is pressure fit by sprint clips. I can hardly call it a flaw, but it's most likely a global thing.

    Thanks,
    Justin

at least it's not really noticable. I mean it's not effecting the connections on the battery and it doesn't look bad..... I don't even think you'd notice it to look at it if you didn't already rub your finger across it.

    Thanks,
    Justin

It's not a big deal. Like Proportable said, it's very minor.

Unless you're anal like I can be, you won't even notice it.
It's not like omg this notebook sucks now or anything...

    Lets put it this way.......

Compare this to door and hood gaps on a car..... people can live with them on a ford or whatever....... comparing perfect to what just so happens to be a hair off on this W3 is like gaps on an upper luxury car compared to maybe a Ferrari...

There is anal, and then there is ANAL.

    Thanks,
    Justin

lol maan, the type of things people will notice. i never noticed it but upon looking at it, there's a possible gap. i can't really tell to be honest and like proportable guesstimated 1/32 of an inch. I'm sorry but plastic parts that are secured with a clip like the battery will never sit flush to the surface; there's always some room for movement. best scenarios would be if it was screwed in which defeats the purpose of having an easily removeable battery.

Lol.. now everyone is going to notice it and they are all going to start to complain about it since there isn't anything else to complain about on the w3 [ ;)]

Here are some pictures and specs if this is what you're looking for: http://www.proportable.com/detail.aspx?ID=107

If you're looking for this slight misalignment of the battery, it's impossible to photograph......

You should update those pics on your site Justin...or at least post one accurate pic of the North American W3V with all the other's and label it...I know you put that design update in...but still, people might not fully understand what you're telling them without a visual to accompany it. Especially when you're directing someone to that link for an idea of what the W3V looks like and It's specs.

(I'm not trying to start anything, I mean that in as friendly a way as possible.) [8D]
