Question on the color of the W3V chassis - I see some photos showing a lighter gray chassis and some photos showing a darker gray chassis. Is there really 2 colors out there or is it just the lighting conditions for the photo? The photos on ProPortable's sight indicate a lighter gray. I was really hoping for the darker gray. ASUS's global website has a darker gray chassis for their photo of the W3V, so maybe in other countries they have a different color?

    Thanks for your help!

This image below is as exact as you can get. The W3n is darker, not the W3v.

Thanks Justin. What are the differences between w3n and w3v besides locality? I am not finding anything on the forums, so I figure you might know =)

Edit: Nevermind, found the difference. 855 chipset with ATI 9700 and DDR vs 915PM chipset with X600 and DDR2. Hmm.

Well the palm rest on the N is more the color of the lid on the V...... and the touchpad is also that same color. I had a couple of those palm rests sent to us just for a few really persistant customers who wanted that color match. To each his own I guess..... but it's not that different. The real difference was in what you found up above..... but as far as these color questions are concerned, I hope this helped.

Justin, you have any more of those palm rests? You've certainly piqued my interest now =)

No, I'm sorry I don't think so... we had some of technically swapping them voided these few peoples warranty....... but I don't think we have any more.
