what *moron* decided to design a computer who's lid-keyboard clearance was such that any time you slightly depress the closed lid, the computer resumes from standby?

    Standby computer
    Close lid
    Lightly press anywhere on lid
    Computer resumes from standby

Is there any way to turn key-resume OFF?

I doubt I have a defective lid...but this problem is so bad, that even when the lid flexes a tad, it kicks the computer on. So if I pick up the laptop with the lid closed, it will do the same thing.

Coupled with the fact that the thing wont resume from hibernate, I'm on my last nerve with this thing. Might sell it soon.

    :apple: :apple2:

next time remind me to buy a computer that works how I want it to (read: apple)

Hmmm, first complaint about this problem..

The hibernation problem still hasnt been fixed yet?

I wouldn't necessarily sell it so quick though...

this problem doesn't normally happend...check if your keyboard is well anchored....sometimes it's not in its possition...

are you missing rubber legs on the screen???

this problem might happend on a dell but not a Asus...

I can't replicate the problem with resuming from standby by pressing on the back of the display.

I also use hibernation without any problems. Make sure that the Execute Disable function is not enabled in the BIOS and that the latest network drivers are installed.
