    Hello,

I encountered the weirdest problem, not sure if other W3V owners have the sane problem.

During typeing or chatting, whenever I press the key ' (right to ; ), the character ' doesnt show, if i press it again '' would come up, if i press space after the first ' theres no space after it but only makes the ' visible.

this is what happens when i press ' followed by the letters
    'q 'w é 'r 't ý ú í ó 'p

this is what happens when i press ` first
    `q `w è `r `t `y ù ì ò `p

This is really annoying and I hope theres a solution to it.

    Thanks.

    hi viper8548,

does this happen only when you use word or other microsoft office applications. if so, it may be due to the autocorrect function. try typing those letters into notepad or even your browser's address toolbar

It does that anywhere, msn, web address, ms office etc
Anywhere that I can type, this happens.

    Thanks

I notice that the only characters that are altered are the vowels that are used in foreign character sets. Do you have a different language installed? Maybe something to do with the "code pages" Windows lists?

Your header mentions a problem with the ~ key, too, but you don't mention it in the message -- does that change the n character and nothing else? If so, I'd say you're definitely looking at a language issue.

Check "Regional and Langauages" in control panel. Just a thought.......

    with ~
    `q `w è `r `t `y

    with "
    "q "w ë "r "t ÿ

I had suspected it was some language settings, I've already checked Regional and Languages in control panel and everything appears normal if not same as my desktop.
