W3V rebate link dead?

I bought the W3V under the original rebate offer, the one that lasted until July 15th. I bought the notebook on the 14th, but it didnt ship out until maybe 2 days later, and probably got the notebook on the 22nd or 23rd, as shipping took over a week. I didnt want to rush to send out my rebate because I wanted to put it to use for at least a week or 2 to make sure everything was okay, and if it wasn't, I could RMA back to the store I purchased it from. Well, after my 2 week "trial" run, everything seems to be okay, and as I clicked the link to send out the rebate, I find that it's gone. It's only 8 days after the 2nd promo ended, and Asus has closed the link already? There is a 30 day window from the time of purchase to the time Asus will accept the rebate, so what gives? What can I do to get the rebate through? Has anyone saved the pdf file that was on the webpage? Thanks a lot for the help.

 

Don't know when they required the rebates to be in by, but I'm sure you could email or call them and find out what they can do.

 

anyone actually recieve their rebate yet? I bought mine on the 14th last month and sent the rebate in on the 16th.

 

I actually found the link through cached google and came to the link where you enter in the info. http://nbwarranty.asus.com/rebate/ On the bottom you can read that the rebate only needs to be postmarked within 30 days of purchase, which I still qualify for. It's just interesting, almost shady that Asus immediately pulled the mobilemag link off their site.

 

It'll take a few months.

 

That's why I hate rebates. I have no patience for them, and sometimes I don't even get them.
