would undervolting the w3v void the warranty?

No, because undervolting does NOT damage the unit.
OVERclocking and/or OVERvolting would void the warranty, since you can damage the unit that way..but undervolting would not.

HI all, i received my W3v (with sonoma 2Ghz) last week, and i find superb. (sorry for the poor english, but i'm french!!!)
I've been playing with Centrino Hardware Control, and finally i got it work!! Now when fully charged the battery shows 4h36 mn when running at 800 Mhz (instead of 3h26 when i received it). It is a really running cooler (maximum 62 °C when running at 2Ghz under prime95 and 43°C when running on batteries at 800 Mhz, while writing this).
Here are the voltage i found:
15x->1,084v
14x->1,020v
12x->0,924v
11x->0,876v
10x->0,844v
9x->0,796v
8x->0,748v
6x->0,700v
but i have one question when running on batteries, even when cpu load is going to 100%, and setting put at max. performance, the cpu clock only goes to 12x (1600 Mhz) . DO you have any idea why ?
And thanks to your forum where i found very useful information!!
