I have a W3V with 1.5 GB RAM - could someone please tell me does it have integrated video memory or dedicated video memeory and if so how much - I only added 1GB RAM and nothing else - which is fastest dedicated or integrated and how can I add more video RAM otherwise machine is good for Office / PS Elements / internet + e-mail
Is there any advantage to adding more RAM either video or otherwise machine is 1.86 GHz an compare to new Apple Macbook with 2 GHz and 1.5 GB RAM for same programs

    Thanks

According to my research, your notebook graphic card is ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 w/ 64 MB. There is nothnig can be done, since you cant upgrade the gpu.

If you uses your notebook for normal stuffs, like office, internet, or minor photo editing, you wont see any advantage to adding more RAM.

Just to further add, you seem to be a little confused about RAM and Video Card Memory.

Yes the W3V comes with a X600 with 64mb of memory.

By adding more physical RAM to ur system, which has a max of 2gb, one slot located under the machine, and one under the keyboard, it will make ur system faster in terms of handling more programs and dealing with bigger programs like Photoshop.

Arc your video card is Dedicated, and yes Dedicated is faster and better than integrated. That's what makes the W3V special, because of the small chasis but with a decent GPU.

All in all you can't increase the memory on the X600 from 64mb to 128mb or anything like that.

You have a wonderfull machine, enjoy it.

Hey man, I ran HL2 and CS:Source like silk, definitely no need to upgrade GPU.

Don't think this model has hypermemory, was never advertised. 64MB is fine people.
