    Hey guys,

I just bought two new batteries for my W3V, a main and a bay battery. I've put them both in the machine, but when I unplug the AC adapter, my power shuts off right away.

I have no idea why it wouldn't recognize my batteries!

    Any help please? Thanks,

Have you tried mixing and matching? Can they power up on their own? Where did you buy them from?

Tried mixing and matching, they can't power up on their own. I bought them from NCIX in Vancouver.

In RightMark CPU and NHC, it says that the designed capacity is 4294836 mWh, Voltage: 65.535 V, it says Power state: On line. It says this for BOTH the main batt. and mod bay batt.!

I've looked in Device Manager, and it has 2 batteries, but it says the drivers are Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery (location: on PCI bus) for both.

    Thanks for the advice

So, if you are in the BIOS, it will power down too? Have you tried calibration from the bios?

It sounds like there might be something wrong on the motherboard... or the connection between the battery and the motherboard. If it can detect the battery but not USE it, something may be defective there.

    I got it to work!

Not sure exactly why, but after I Shut down a couple times, I plugged the AC in and the charge light came on (before it didn't come on so I thought it was full battery). I left it to charge and now I can get up to 6.5 hrs!!! (undervolted, 800mhz, brightness 50%, wifi-on)

    I get ~5.2 hrs undervolted, 1.8ghz, 100% brightness, wifi-on)

    awesome...

Nice to hear that you got it working :)

Weird how it wouldn't charge before...

6.5 hours is impressive. I get 5 with no setting changes on my W3j with both batteries.
