    W3V: Anyone installed BIOS 0502A?

    I've updated to the new one.

    No problems.

    Now when the brightness is on the lowest level, the screen is still evenly lit. Before, half of the screen would be lit and half dark on this lowest setting.

    I know the BIOS is supposed to do something for the thermal policy (fan speeds?) and VGA ROM. Havent noticed anything there yet, but I assume they improved something.

    But yes... that nicest thing is the brightness fix... I didn't think it needed to be fixed, but now that I try to lower it all the way, you're right, it's different on this system than it is on one that I didn't update yet...... I don't often use that brightness.... but on a plane, in the dark... it's fine for watching movies.

    The fan speeds are just slightly different at different temperatures...

    The VGA fix was to enable hypermemory I believe.
