I've read as much as I could and I still don't get it.
My W3J is set up to FAT32. It is better to set it up as NTFS -if you handle big files? So, if I want to burn one double layered DVD of 8GB, the FAT32 wouldn't be able to handle it?
I read this on the W3J+ review:
"The drive was originally partitioned into three FAT32 drives (including one hidden) but a simple script (accessible via the desktop) allowed for the conversion into NTFS (preferred by XP)."
There is a NTFS icon on my desktop, if I click on it will this convert it (and is that all I have to do?) -or is it that all hell is going to break loose?

dude, not to be rude or anything, but please use the forum search first. This question has been asked over and over again amounting to the same answer everytime.
final answer. Go NTFS.

Yeah NTFS would be much better. You can't store a single file/folder bigger than 4GB with FAT32. Also NTFS is more stable than FAT32.

I know NTFS is better & I've read the posts and my computer's help section...
But I still don't get it & still confused
My question is how do you do it? -
This thread from last month should answer your questions. Simple answer is all hell won't break loose, do it if you want ntfs. I did and would recommend it to anybody who is asking if they should. Just click on the icon on your desktop and if you want you can change the cluster size before you convert.

On the learning curve...
Many thanks for the useful link.
