I'm planning on buying a W3J, but the only thing keeping me from doing it is the screen's low resolution. Can anyone tell me their experience regarding this topic.

I would not consider it low........

Before I purchased I had the same reservation, I couldn't decide between the V6 or W3, I didn't know if I could handle working on such a small screen and wished it came with a higher resolution, because I use AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, 3D Vis and generally programs that have lots of menus.

But after using the W3J I am more than happy with it and the fact it is wide screen maens there is plenty of room for menus.

you are limited by the physical size of a 14'' display, but lets put it this way..... I am actually surprised that since I have owned the W3J I have never wished that the resolution was higher....so thats saying something.

If you have any concerns about using a certain program, let me know I can load it up and post a print screen, then you can bring it up on your own PC and compare.

Ps, I have hooked this up to several external monitors, works extreemly well, to high resolutions.

totally agree...otherwise you may have to sit very close if the resolution was any higher i.e. 1440x900...that said for games like the upcoming supreme commander..it may be more useful
