    Hey All,
Over the weekend the intel wifi adapter in my laptop started acting up. Basically, I can see the networks but every network I connect to returns the "limited/no connectivity" error. I've made no changes to the system config, didn't install any software, nothing. Here's what I've tried so far with no success:

    1. Windows and intel wireless management
    2. Reinstalled asus drivers and intel software
    3. Installed newer drivers from intel

Any other ideas? Tech support at Asus is happy to take a look at my laptop but I would prefer not to have to lose my machine for a week or more if possible.

    TIA

Perhaps clear your DNS via ipconfig, that may help.

As well, try and use Microsoft's wireless client instead of Intel's and see if that works.

I got that error on my home wireless network. It was pretty much a poor wireless signal. Got a wireless range extender and fix it. So make sure the wifi your connecting to is a decent signal.

try going into device manager--> network adapters --> wireless card--> properties--> advanced --> power management --> maximum power. This was actually posted in another post. It seemed to help on my w3j.
    thanks

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did try the ipconfig release renew but with no success at getting a new IP address. Strangely, last night while on the net with a wired connection after I gave up on fixing the wifi a wifi window popped up in the corner to let me know I was connected and now my wifi is working perfectly. Go figure.

I sometimes lose connection when I am downloading at max bandwidth, I blame my cheap belkin router for it. Try reseting your router and modem, it usually reconnects on the next reset for me.

Hmm... I have experienced a similar problem. Ever since I did a clean install with the newest Intel wifi drivers, I get a strong connection, but my internet sometimes doesn't work.

All I have to do is repair the connection in network connections and it fixes the problem.
