    It runs great but...

    there is some "popping" sounds in the audio...and there are a couple video artifacts at times...maybe that is normal but the guys hand (on the shotgun) sort of fades in and out sometimes.

    Ideas?

    If someone could point me to the best/latest audio and video drivers that would be great.

    The popping noise is a known issue with BF2, the only fix that seems to work fairly consistantly is this:

    In the game menu, open the sound tab under options
    change all for the settings to anything other that what they are.

    Apply the changes and restart the game.

    Start the game up again and open the sound tab, switch all of the settings to where you want them to be, apply and restart.

    you should be crackle free, i only had to preform this method once about 8 months ago and my sound has been clear ever since.
