This thread should probably belong in the gaming forums but seeing as how upgrading the drivers could cause constant restarts, I decided to post here instead.

So basically I can't run everything at max at 24 bit color 24 bit whatevers and 6X antiwhateveritscalled. Anything higher than 24 bit X 24bit X 1X seems to end up with trash on the screen.

Anyone else had any experience with this and how I should go about fixing it? Seems like a driver issue.

The laptop plays all other games perfectly.

The one that comes with the system, which is the same as the one that is posted on the Asus drivers page.

See if 6.10 will fix the problem. Download here. If it does not or causes new problems, simply roll back to what you're using.

Nrbelex, I know you're using 6.10 .. have you had any random restarts at all ? I'm just asking because I recently formatted my W3J, installed 6.10, but I still get 'em all the time. Thanks.

    Cheers.

I was having a couple BSOD issues initially... but then I realized it was completely unrelated to the video driver since I could get it while still installing Windows. That obviously led me to believe it was something more basic so I reflashed the BIOS a couple of times and haven't had any issues since. I think there may have a been some sort of fan speed/temperature issue so I'm still watching for it. 6.10 doesn't have any of the restart cycle while on battery issues though.
