Originally, I drooled over the W3v and was almost 99% sure I was going to pull the trigger. After reading more of the inputs, I have come to the conclusion that while the ati x600 might be able to manage the recent games, an x700 will ensure that I will be able to be up to date (for a little while at least) with my graphics computing power and occassional gaming. Now I have deduced my decision to this-- In terms of size and bulkiness, how different are these two machines? Seeing the weight doesn't seem to differ too much, but how I guess given the dimensions, I don't have a good picture in my head of wat I am dealing with. Can someone chime in? ~~thx!!!!

Didn't want to show these screenies but it'll help you, oh well :p

The huge monster is the z81sp, the z70va and the z63a(same frame as w3v)

Actually, I did, the z70va seemed heavy at first since it resally looks light but now I'm quite used to it :p

Picking up the z63a was different, it was a tad lighter, but If I were to use it and pick it up on a daily basis, I wouldn't be able to tell a difference.

But there is one, specwise, 5.4lbs vs 6.1lbs isn't that big

I think you are better off with the Z70VA - like coriolis said, the weight difference is negligible - less than one pound.

Plus, the X700 card is over 1.5x as fast as the X600, and has twice the memory.

Z70VA gets my recommendation! :asus: :centrino:

I wouldn't say the weight difference is NEGLIGIBLE... you can be noticed, and if you are going to carry it around a lot (with other books and whatnot), every little bit of weight counts.

the approx. weight difference is about .5 lbs... not too much. 1 lb weight difference is quite significant... but .5 shouldn't be too much to worry about.
