well i just got my 9 cell battery for my w5a the other day. and here are the pics. sorry about the quality. they were taken with my camera phone. but it gives you good idea.
i realized if you used the windows settings for the battery instead of power4gear you get a lot more battery life.
what i do is first select "battery saving" mode in power4gear
then i go to:
right click on desktop -> screen saver -> power
and select "max battery"
then for the 6 cell i can get maybe 3:30 instead of 1:30-2:00
and for the 9 cell i can get around 5:30 (i've only tested the 9 cell once) 3:30-4:00 minmium i'm assuming under normal use
i personally like the 9 cell. of course it's a bit heavier with the 9 cell and the weight is quite unevenly distributed. but definately worth it for the extra life. it sticks out exactly 1 inch more than the 6 cell. (6 cell sticks out 3/4 of an inch and 9 cell sticks out 1 3/4 of an inch)
anyways here are the pics.
pic 1: 6 cell
pic 2: 9 cell
pic 3: 9 cell (top) 6 cell (bottom)
pic 4: batt life with 6 cell
pic 5: batt life with 9 cell

Seems like its well worth the money isn't it?

Ah. I'm considering getting the 9-cell eventually. But I think my first priority upgrade would be the hard drive. (I've already upgraded the RAM to 1.25GB.) I did just get my W5a on 2 days ago (from Proportable!), so I'm still configuring it and installing stuff and such. When I get my digital camera back, I'll write up a review or something maybe.
I do like the 6-cell though because you can still fit it into the sleeve that came with it, which is convenient. I guess with the 9-cell, you can't squeeze it in anymore. -
really? i couldn't fit it in the sleeve even with the 6 cell. but luckily i got another sleeve from hk that could fit it even with the 9 cell
