I've had my W5A for just under a year now.. and i try to keep it as clean as possible whenever i have spare time to clean it.

I noticed i had some black/greyish spots on my screen, which i thought was just dirty, but even cleaning it would not get rid of it. There are no dead pixels, but just greyish blotches on the right and left of the screen.

Anyone encountered this before? Should I send it back to asus before i hit the 1 year mark? Thanks!

P.S. picture is taken with my phone cam :(
there is more than what is shown in the pic, and even in the same area :(

Those are screen imperfections. Lucky for us most people dont notice and dont really care becuase you cant see them other then a solid white or another color. You can either deal with it or attemt rma. We normally replace the screen if more then one even though this really is not covered as a defect.

i'm using isopropanol.. i use that to clean cd's, dvds, xbox games, and my desktop lcd without any problems... tho i remember i user on the forum who used isopropanol to clean his w5a and it wiped out the paint where the power light, battery light, etc was.. so i use it on the screen only

it was there for a while.. but it's only the last week or two where it started to bother me.. so i think it's getting darker.. and there also appears to be more appearing on the left side of the screen

well i have the same problem...they are sorta little gray dots...

I don't think rubbing alcohol is a good idea for the screen....warm water should take the keyboard trace out...

use nothing but warm watter on a screen. any and i mean any chemical can sub off the anti glare coating on a matte screen. as for glossy screens im sure they cant be good either.
