I just bought an Asus W5f and it is uneven when I put it on a desk. It keeps moving because all of the "feet" are not on the desk. It is very annoying. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Should I send it in?

did u recognize any difference between all four rubber stands? I think it should be easy to examine this kind of problem. such as which side sinks down, then start ur inspection from there.

try it on another table. it might be your desk that is uneven.

Sounds like a warped W5F to me. Did you buy this from a trustworthy Power Seller? :(

That brings up another carp for me. All the feet have fallen off all my lappys in the past. How come no one can make rubber feet that stay on $1600-$2200 laptops?

Well, why not just use SuperGlue when they fall? If you find them, that is.

haha. so yesterday around 4:00 when I got home I set my laptop on my personal desk and what do ya know? It's flat against the desk. I guess it was just the cheap desk at school. Thanks though!

$50 desk vs. $2000 laptop, desk wins everytime!

Two are missing on W5F, the two front ones, so at least it's still evenly balanced. I saved them all. I still have the four that belonged to my Acer too!

I believe that calls for some crazy glue.

What are you doing that makes them fall off? I'd like to know so I can avoid doing that if possible.

your feet fall off becuase you keep dragging/sliding the laptop on rough surface like your bed instead of lifting it. can get cought on the bag too.
to the op. your notebook is prolly wobly becuase the plastic feet (yes you have some on the bottom) are probably just a tad bit longer then the rubber feet. so the plastic hits the table instead of the feet. This was an inherent defect on the first 100 z62f that were shipped early 2006. we simply corrected it on our end by grinding the plastic feet (looked natural if done right). this is the first time i hear of this on a w5f. i am wondering did you buy this used? if used perhaps the owner fitted it with wrong feet after they fell off.?
