I have finally purchased my laptop for university, which i've struggled through for so long on, and my final decision was a W5a. I will post pics later if anyone wants them. Anyways, back to the topic. Someone posted earlier about increasing the battery life on W3v by changing some settings in BIOS. Here is the thread that member posted :

"When I first got my W3V, on "email/office" mode on battery with just browsing the internet and typing, I would get 3 hours and 20 minutes.

I went into the bios "F2" (I didnt know this still later after some searching ), there is a "Speedstep option" which was set to disabled by Asus.

With this enabled, my battery life increased to 4 hours and 10 minutes!"

i tried to find this speedstep option in W5's BIOS, but no luck. Is this option even available in W5, or is it jsut me that's too dumb to find it in BIOS? heh..
Help me out here plzz =D

I think i looked for that option myself. I came across some article that said that with the current chip/chipset, that speedstep was automatic, and didn't require switching on.
(I think i read that on the intel site...) But again, i "think" i read that....
