Can any of the W5a owner or vender verify that if the W5a has a IR (Infrared) data port?
Some websites mentioned that this port is located on the right front side of W5, but it looks from the pics more like a Volume control.
Thanks!

My W5a is sitting here in front of my and there is NO IR port on the system.... and that thing you're looking at is volume slider....
You're got WiFi / Bluetooth / RF .... I'm sorry but no IR... find a faster way to connect []
But since you mentioned the volume knob.... that is very neat.. I haven't seen something like that on any other Asus notebook in the last five years.... it's neat... it controls the system volume just like the Fn + vol -/+ would do... just easier.
Thanks,
Justin

DT, I'm with you on the keyboard... we were tossing that back and forth last night where some people liked the solid keys and personally I don't know what the heck they are thinking... . but then again everyon has an opinion.
The volume knob is something I didn't even notice until Artwjp asked what it was. Then I used it and thought.. man thats useful. You know what though? There is a lot of stuff on the W5 and the least of the concerns as far as "looking cheap" is that volume knob because you can barely notice it...... it's not like a knob that spins... it has a spring and slides down to the one side or to the other and activates buttons that change the volume... I don't change the volume that much, but it's quick, and you have to admit that has it's advantages.... I think if you can grow to like the way the "belt buckle" camera looks... the rest is easy to love...... After all.. there is a TON of stuff in that little notebook...
Thanks,
Justin
