OK... try not to get confused, but there are two updates I've got to talk about. The W5ae is out as of last week and the Z33ae may still take a month, but it's an update you'll want to know about. Don't get confused because both end in "ae" because they are not the same upgrade.

W5ae - same set up, chipset, configuration as the old W5a but instead of a 40gb hdd, it has a 60gb hdd.... same price... nice little upgrade. This is ONLY available in white.

Z33ae - this is a barebone, obviously....... the upgrade here is actually QUITE nice... It's the same unit but instead of 256mb of RAM onboard, it has 512mb. This means that the unit will max out with 1gb of RAM instead of 768mb..... If it was worth it for some of you, you could even buy the new motherbaord and retrofit it to your M5n or even Z33a for under $300.

Will the Z33ae barebone be the same price as the current Z33a barebone?

I honestly don't know....... probably would be my best answer...... figure *maybe* less than $30 more (considering it has another 256mb on board)... but probably the same price.

$60 dollars more still makes it definitely worth it though... considering buying another stick of 256 mb micro-SODIMM costs about ~120 here in Canada...

DDR1 or ddr2. I know we still have a bunch of ddr1 uso-dims left from the old m5n which we cant use now :)
