while browsing Asus global, I found a page on the W6 series, a 13.3 wxga.. I'm quite surprised Asus went ahead and made a model that size, even though there's not too many 13" out there.. I'm pretty curious about any further info about it.. if it'll come to the states, if so, will it be a "built on" or an ensemble model? and whether or not there will be a W6V, so far there's just the W6A

    Really? hrmm

If I was buying my notebook now, I would be VERY interested in this (as I was seriously considering the sony S before the W3V), but I'm happy with my W3V.

Also want to see more info.

That's right........ you're not going to see this as a W3v replacement at all... dedicated graphics are not set for this model as far as I know...... it would be sort of dumb to do so also if you think about how close the W3v is to it....

wow, it seems to set itself up as more of an W5 replacement than a W3 actually

Um... no not really... I hate to say "oh, well it's new and totally different" ......... especially when Asus' lineup has become so tight that they really have something for everyone...... but basically from what I've heard and the little I've seen..... the W6 is almost a replacement for the old S1.......

I talked to Asus about the W6a this afternoon and yes, although it's the end-all laptop for a lot of people...... If I had to have one laptop, it's certainly the W3..... but as a customer if I had a need and the money for two notebooks...... the W2 and the W6 would be it....... the W6 could be the only computer you own if you travel and you don't game or do heavy graphics....... It's a great looking system and the specs, although some people make do a double-take... are correct......

Asus is worried about introducing a new model after the W2 is released because the dual-core pentium-m's are going to be out in January/February....... but we're looking into getting some demos in and helping them judge demand working up to the Holiday Season.........

    Stay tuned.
