I'm going to buy a notebook, and my candidates are w7s( the design is similar to W7F) and wait for the new "m1210" (since I don't see any official news of m1330 ). but I'm wondering how thick is w7s compare to m1210.
I did some search, some reviews say W7F's dimensions are: 315mm x 226.5 x 29 -- 36.9mm (W x D x H) [12.4" x 8.92" x 1.142 -- 1.453"]
in newegg.com W7S's dimensions are: 12.3" x 8.8" x 1.2-1.4"
and m1210's dimensions are: 11.70x8.70x1.20
the new HP Compaq 6510b Review says that 6510b's dimensions are: 1.33 (H) x 13.03 (W) x 9.57" (D)
so, is it true that W7F/W7S is thicker than m1210 and 6510b ??
if you own a W7f how do you feel, do you "feel" the thickness ?

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
The W7 is built on a slant, so the back is slightly higher by 0.2" than the front, whereas Dell/HP can build square; so yes, there will be a slight increase over the size of both Dell/HP (0.1-0.2").
However, I would defy anyone to physically distinguish (by touch) a difference at that slight an amount if holding both models. -
The w7 is about 1.3" thick, depending on which area you measure it, in some areas its 1.2", in others, its 1.4". The rubber nubs at the bottom also add to the height if that counts.
You'll need to check on the thickness of the other notebooks, because usually they only list the thinnest parts of the notebook.
To be honest, the W7 is quite thick for a sub portable, but it's a cool running notebook with the 8400, so it's not that surprising.
W7F how thick is it ??
