Hi everyone, I plan to get a W7J this week. However, I just looked at the ASUS US site, on its Notebook Warranty Extension Package page, it states that "PS. Currently, the Warranty Extended Package is not sold in North America region."

Does that mean I can only get the 1 year warranty from ASUS and have no way to get its 3 years of extended warranty? Is my only choice buying extended warranty from the reseller?

    Thanks.

That's false actually. It's been sold here since February I believe. Not everyone sells Asus' pacakge, that's all you need to be concerned with.

Thanks for letting me know! How do I distinguish between reseller warranty and the ASUS package? Where do I buy the ASUS package?

Reseller warranty will say that service will be provided by the seller; Asus' will indicate that service is provided directly through Asus (i.e. see here).

Asus' 2 year warranty extension lists at $169 (another way to tell the difference, probably) and must be purchased from the seller at the time of sale, if they offer it.
