Just got my W7J and noticed when I burn dvds that in Nero 6 I only have the option to burn at 8x. There is no other option for any lower speed. I usually like to burn dvds at 4x or even 2x. My other dvd burners in an older laptop and my desktop both give me the option to burn at lower speeds. Anyone know why or how I can change that? Thank you.

You can buy Nero Ultra 7... that's one way. I've notice that Nero OEM sets the burner for exactly whatever you put in.... I don't know why..

    i dislike nero anyway
    it's become bloatware.
    i use "CopyyToDVD"
    a 3mb program to burn dvd's.
    not a rediculous 100mb like nero 7
i know nero does other stuff other than just copy, but all i want is a prog to copy.
there are lots of other programs that are better at the other stuff

That's very true....... I actually still prefer Nero 5 for those same reasons. What made Nero good was exactly what made PC Cillin good as a virus program..... they got the job done and didn't need all the fancy stuff the other programs had that bloated them up and slowed you down...... very good observation.
