    It says this in windows Xp and in every distro of Linux i have tried. This cant be right. Anyone else have this?

    It's correct, as 256mb of it is onboard memory, the other is dedicated.

    33% of the system memory is set aside for video if needed....... Which means it's there for your normal ram needs, but if your video starts to require more then 128mb, up to 384mb of your 1024mb of system ram can be used towards the graphics.... But it's 128mb dedicated.
