I have a REALLY annoying issue with this. whenever i am not plugged in, i change the vista power option to power saver and when i am plugged in, i change it to high performance. however, recently (actually, past month or so) i notce that whenever i am not plugged in and change it to power saver, every couple minutes the screen goes back to full brightness, but when i click on the power saver, it is stil selected as power saver. so i have to select another option and reselect power saver. and this keeps repeating several times...

anyone know what the problem might be?

    Here I go again: :)

I remember a problem with brightness resetting, and there was a specific solution that worked in all instances. I don't remember the solution.

    Search around.

Actually this had to do with some Vista power saving settings if I remember correctly.

    Thread of Wisdom

Just searched the forum and this thread had the same question and it was determined that using drivers released by Asus would fix the problem. Using unsupported drivers not released by Asus might be causing the brightness resetting problem... I have yet to confirm this myself though.
