How come the asus W7S 8400M benchmarks 400points lower than the M1330 8400M in 3dmark06?

both same processor and same 8400m? where does the difference lie? the video memory?

Asus underclocks the gpu in many, especially the older, Ensemble models. The W7 series is well known to possess such a limitation due to Asus' conservative approach to thermal management in their smaller chassis'.

I'd start with manufacturer's website, or just run a google search and I'm sure that the info would pop up in the first couple of pages.
