Basically i'm going crazy trying to think of what to do - please help.

My Dell XPS 730 is MASSIVE, but it is a desktop so that's to be expected, but should I sell it and just purchase a W90P instead? What would you do if you had a xps 730 and were inching towards the W90P?

Specs of the XPS 730 are in my sig - let me know if you think it's worth it. Thanks all.

Stick with your rig unless you're going to be having a lot of lan parties. I don't see any reason to buy a laptop that's going to be stuck on your desk 99% of the time.

Higher-end desktop gpus smack around the most mobile versions. The 730 is going to be better for you - worst case just put in one of the new ATI 4870's or something... that's going to be cheaper and better performing than the W90.

yeah guys it's kind of a tough decision for me - thanks for the input.

Ever have that feeling - like you're never happy with what you've got? I have it all the time (hence my sig) and honestly I don't even use my desktop to its full potential. I would however appreciate the mobility of the W90 but i'm not honestly gonna do a lan party more than once per year if at all. \

I'm just attracted to the look /specs of the w90p and the possibility of moving it around a bit.

well depending on your desktop the w90 will prob never be as powerful as your desktop could be i know its no where near mine, for me the only benefit would be the mobility BUT at almost 19" how mobile is it really? i have now seen this in person and it is LARGE to say the least. bigger than the 1730 was. so it imo all depends on what your priority is. id love a w90 myself but i dont think for me it would be practical and imo id wait till they iron out the issues with them also.

edit i saw your specs and the w90 would prob be equal or maybe even better in some ways depending on the config you get. so again its all about if you will move it. i would rather work on a 28" monitor than a 18" one myself

Nah, I'm not suggesting you to buy Asus W90Vp though, especially now with some errors, plus personally I don't really like notebooks as the same price you get doubled the power you get for the cost of a notebook.
If can, you may want a custom pc, which usually cheaper, only without support.
BTW, that W90 only have Q9000 as quad core, where as yours is Q9450, plus the graphic power is probably just a bit lower, with all that, DON'T Buy that!

    lol tell me about it.

Again - thanks for the input all - what i'll probably do is get one of those monster 13" from asus with the ATI 4570
