Will forewarn first, I've just started the calls to Newegg and Asus this morning have yet to hear anything 6hrs later but will keep updating.

I was caught with the 1920 x 1200 false statistics on Newegg's original website on this model (since corrected). As I thought the price was wrong ($2200), I called to confirm the specs and price on this model with both Asus and Newegg. Both customer service departments indicated this was a 1920 x 1200 laptop.

Laptop arrived yesterday, when I find out that this model is only 1920 x 1080.

Calls to Newegg resulted in being told I have to contact Asus as Newegg will not offer refunds/returns, even under inaccurate advertising.

Calls to Asus were escalated to someone named James, supposedly affiliated with the Newegg client account that is "looking into the situation and contact me today”. (hasn’t yet obviously)

If anyone has any information to a more formal email or address contacts to either company, I would be thankful.

I'm sorry to hear this, I've just read they seem to have really seller oriented policies.

They still list the item as 'wide UXGA' as of now.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220503

    And WUXGA is 1920x1200.

I think you can contact Federal Trade Commission, and file formal complaint if the extra pixels mean that much to you; or mention your interested in filing a complaint, they may change their mind; but either way, I think if you get a refund, 15% restock fee needs to be paid.

Makesure you save a copy of their website in the current form, especially the part that lists Wide UXGA. And any documents/ email you have that contains the mention of 1920x1200, reather than 1080.

I don't know where does the problem originate, but W90vp does have a 1920 x 1080 screen. Therefore you should contact Newegg about return / refund.
