I just purchased an ASUS W90VP-X2 and it arrived yesterday. Other than uninstalling some bloatware, the first steps I took were updating to ASUS' latest 4870x2 drivers (although these are still quite old). After finding that these drivers would not install, I uninstalled them and loaded up the factory drivers once again.

After downloading 3dmark 06 and running the benchmark, I was very disgusted with a score of around 6000 marks in standard mode (not overclocking). The device manager shows both cards and gpu-z is also detecting both and monitoring their clock speeds separately. Performance in Half-Life 2 and similar (source) games seems to be well below what I expected out of this machine.

I don't understand what the problem is but it seems like they just aren't putting out the power they're supposed to be. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to share. I'm stumped..
