What battery does it use? And are there any well-known sites that sell them at a nice price?

lol, for shame Katicflis, for shame.

Btw, you mean the company who makes the battery? If so I think its sony. If not, well then, I'm wrong. If you mean size, its 6 cell, but I think you knew that already.

Don't know where you could buy a spare though. You could ask one of the sellers here if they could order you one, but the price is beyond me.

I believe it's a 6 Cell Lithium Ion, 4800mAh, 53WHr battery... if that helps any.

all the resellers should be able to sell you a battery as i think most of them already make it available as an optional accessory as a second main battery.

I think you would do better to invest in a product like i go before buying a expensive 2nd battery.

    Ill explain why.

First off, batteries have a life span regardless of use. Meaning they actually die if theyre fully charged and sitting, so buying 2 batteries at once isnt going to last you twice as long.

The price might be something like 100-150 for another one and you can get an external battery that last so much longer for that price.

On the third hand if they can be found for more like 40-50 then id get one myself.

battery life of the a8js is not good even with two its barely going to cover a movie. So for extended battery viewing youre better off with a external battery. I havent shopped them recently.
