Basically I have decided to buy this laptop for uni this year. I live in HK but study in the UK, and here is the problem. There are no retail shops for gaming laptop in HK, so I have to order from other places. Buying this in UK is too expensive for me due to VAT, so I want to order from the USA. However I only got 2 weeks left to stay in HK, there might not be enough time for the laptop to arrive here before my flight(21st). Ordering it to the UK does not work because of VAT again.

So I am planning to order it to a friend living in the US, and let my friend ship it to the UK. I suppose this can avoid VAT since it will not be regarded as a commercial product?

If anyone have any smarter idea than this, I would be very happy to know, thx.

P.S. my budget is within USD2500 (which the laptop with my configuration costs $2000 already), and of course I want to spend as little as possible :p
