    Hi,

Is the new "free 3rd year warranty" available ONLY if you buy from the sites listed on:

    http://usa.asus.com/wheretobuy/USA/wtb_ensemblenotebooks.htm ?

Will I get the free warranty if I order from "www.discountlaptops.com"?

And to get the warranty, all I have to do is send an email to asus with serial number, invoice, etc. and I'll get warranty?

Oh and i just noticed the site says "ensemble" notebooks, then if i get the Z71v, it won't get the "premiere warranty"?

I don't get why this is so hard to understand.... although I do know that Asus to date has still done a horrible job at explaining that the "built on asus" custom models we're all building are basically the property of the dealers and they are effectivally our own brand...... aside from using and Asus motherboard and chassis, they have no affilication with Asus.

    Thanks,
    Justin

That all depends on how you look at it. Yes they promote dealer service and responsibility for the whitebook line. I ve spent many hours on the phone with them. Many many times they help and go beyond the call for end users who purchased whitebooks. Usually it involves a 3 way call to their tech support between the tech, dealer and user. I would say their warranty on the whitebooks works in conjunction with the dealers.
