Since I bought my NX90JQ from Microsoft Store, it was NOT covered by the ASUS 360 warranty.

I was wondering if anyone had bought or thought about buying the Warranty Extension. An additional year is $69 and the two year is $99.

I am probably not that computer literate, but I have never had a problem that would have been covered in the last 15 or more years that I have owned computers.

That said, I have never paid a $1,000 for a computer before either. I am not sure what could go wrong and would the buying the extension be worth it.

    Thanks

Depends on if you feel comfortable trying to fix it yourself or sending it to the shop if it is out of warranty. Given those prices, they are good but what do they cover? Just parts and labor? On site?

I always have at least a 2 year warranty on my laptops as I tend to replace them after that period. I've had to use them in the past so it's something that I am glad that I have. At those prices, it seems like a pretty good deal. I am assuming it is just a standard parts and labor warranty against defects, but the parts in these units can get pretty expensive. If it covers the battery as well then it's a no brainer in my opinion.

My warranty ran out not too long ago. I don't have the money to upgrade just yet but I feel that I don't need to extend it since I'm very careful with mine.

    Don't drop it
    Don't eat/drink near it
    don't over heat it
    keep it clean
    carry it in a bag

No, I am not handy or knowledgable. Putting in additional RAM was almost the extent of my abilities.

I am very careful with my computer, but that doesn't mean something couldn't go bad.

Parts and labor are covered, but not the battery.

    Thanks for the comments.
