Ok, so I bought my n80 from newegg about 6 months ago. Now my sister is about to (hopefully) buy the G60vx from bestbuy. One of my biggest selling points is the awesome warranty that asus supplies to it's customers.

I know I got something around a year (6 months?) of accidental coverage and a full 2 years on manufactorers defects. Does this still apply? And, more specifically, does it apply to BestBuy models as well?

Thanks a bunch guys, appreciate the help.

Oh, and one more quick question. Where can i find a list of retailers of asus products?

The "awesome" Asus warranty does NOT apply to the Best Buy models, that is the reason Best Buy can sell them so cheap. You only get a standard 1 year Best Buy warranty unless you buy their extra "Black Tie" Protection plan.

Also this should have been posted in the general Asus forum, not the ower's Lounge/Review forum.

Yeah I apologize..it was really, really late and I didn't realize I had wandered into this part of the asus subforum.

And thanks for the information. Is there any accidental or is there just the 1 year defects warranty?
