Hi, im the proud owner of a w7j. I was reading the terms of warranty, it states that you only have warranty when you can show a receipt with date of purchase. It happens to be i lost it  . Do i have a problem now when my laptop is broken?

You can make up a date that is approximately around the time you bought it. Just as long as you know the date is earlier than the time you actually got it, not after (in order to be ethical).

I think that support will only verbally ask you the date you bought your Asus. Also, you will probably need the serial number on the bottom of the notebook.

You do and you don't need proof of pruchase, if they ask make it up around the time you bought it, otherwise, request from your reseller the receipt. Or If you paid on debit or credit you will see a bill in there too. So don't worry. :D

Sometimes the support will ask, but they don't always ask.

I have called support several times. They have asked the purchase date, but never required verification. I wouldn't sweat it too much, there are plenty of options out there to find proof.
