Would you get the default 2 year or 3 year ASUS warranty?

Is it a good idea to use a notebook cooler with ASUS notebooks (do they tend to run hot)?

A lot of people use their laptops for two years before they replace them....myself included. But if you plan on using it longer and buying the extra year would give you peace of mind...then go for it. It's really up to the individual.

If you have a G series notebook with the 260m then I would advise to get a cooler like the NC2000...especially for gaming. The other lines of notebooks I can't comment on the heat produced because I have no experience with them.

it would be preferable if you will just buy a speedball. This device will rise the end of the notebook improving the airflow/intake due to large gap between the bottom of the notebook and the table. also, you don't need to worry about extra power for this.

I would purchase any laptop with an American Express card. That way, you'll get a free 1 year extended warranty.

Not all Asus laptops run hot. The only one that tends to run on the warm side is the G51 series.

They usually run about $99 for North America Warranty and $129 for global.
