First time owner of a Asus laptop, specifically the Vivobook V301LP-DS51T . I don't know if it's just my eyes but does anyone else see a white overcast on their displays? Dark movies are unwatchable. If I adjust gamma to rid of the cast, darks just disappear. Is there a setting everyone prefer using?

Historically, Asus makes good monitors, but it's possible yours is either defective or even low quality. Do you have something along the lines of dynamic contrast enabled? And do you have the contrast problem in all applications (system wide)? Or strictly in video playback on one or more programs?
