    Water on g50vt x5 keyboard

    Hi guys,

    i got back from class to turn on my laptop, just to find out that i was damaged, at first it wouldnt turn on, then it did but the fan started making a really loud noise and when the windows 7 loading screen appeared it turned itself of, then the same happened again but this time it turned on and off by itsef, then i realized that there was a water on one side of the screen, since then i been managing the water spill hypothesis,after 4 hours i turned my laptop on again and itstarted, the keyboard didnt work when i tried to put my password, what can i do to solve this problem is dessambling the keyboard an option? :confused: .im using an usb keyboard,but its really uncomfortable.
    Help me please, im desperate :(
    ps: im in mexico, so warrnanty is not an option, besides i left all the laptop documents back in ecuador, noooooooooo.....

    Turn off the laptop immediately and give it half a day more to dry. After that try again. If the keyboard is still funky you might just have to buy a new one.

    Have there been any other problems other than the keyboard?

    only the ones I put on the post, like windows shutting down when loading, but that stopped happening later. Any other solutions??

    Like some other guys mentioned, putting the laptop for a while in uncooked rice sometimes works, rice seems to have some really good water absorption capabilities.

    Of course I guess you would have to put your pc in a clothe bag before putting it in a rice bag of it would get inside it. Also remove the battery.

    And also refrain yourself from turning it on, that's the best way to short everything.
