The glossy black plastic near the edges of the screen always tends to get scratched really bad with tiny dirt particles. Its almost unavoidable.
Only thing i can think of that will help it, is putting some car wax on it.

Has anyone tried this? will it work? I will be using high quality meguiars NXT 2.0

Or is it just a stupid idea? of course it will be hand applied and everything ( common sense)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I decided to do it myself, here are my results.
YouTube - Laptop waxing- before and after results
The results were amazing, I know the scratches can still be seen with the flash, but without it they are almost not noticeable.

WAX also works on UL80 Aluminum to prevent finger prints, ITS AMAZING.

Note: This was done on a 2 years badly scratched N10J, whoever when i did it on my 3 days old UL80, the difference was not noticeable, of course the wax seal will stay there for 2 months, but I would not recommend it doing it on a brand new laptop. (Unless you exert very little pressure when applying the wax, like bearly touching it, and doing it with a sponge, a finger will most likely scratch it.

I know people will shun me but after a bit I stop worrying about external scratches on my laptop. It makes it feel more... broken in? Like a favorite pair of jeans... I dunno.
I don't plan on reselling it so its condition doesn't affect me as long as it still works. :)

I've done it on my G50V-A2. Makes it easy to remove fingerprints. I'm kind of picky though.............

You can use a glaze which is what its intended for (filling in light scratches on car paint). Then you can seal it with a wax. That should make a bigger difference.

I've done it on older macbooks, using car wax. Seems to help.

Too bad the guy has an n10j - with a bezel like that, you NEED to wax it or you'll go crazy staring at the fingerprints.

You should drop a HD screen in it, then you really don't need to get rid of it. I had to trim my bezel about 5mm to get it to display properly.
